Juice Ingredients

Celery. One large stalk of celery is used in this juice recipe. You can even use the leaves which also contain some health benefits!

💡 Did you know a stalk of celery is the whole bunch of celery and individual stems or sticks of celery are called celery ribs?

Green apple. You will need 1 large green apple for this juice recipe. Buy 2 apples just in case you feel like the juice needs more apple.

Cucumber. You will need 1 large cucumber. I used an English cucumber. The easiest way for me to measure the cucumber for this juice recipe was to slice the cucumber into 20 slices, which will equal about 2 cups if you place the slices in a measuring cup.

Lemon. I hand squeezed 3 lemons into this juice, which was equal to 1/2 cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice.

Water. You will need 2 cups of filtered water to make this juice. This helps the produce to blend easier and more smoothly.

How To Make Celery Juice In A Blender

First you’ll want to wash all of your produce. Add 2 cups of water to your blender before adding the cut produce. This will help the juice to blend easier and smoother. Chop the celery and apple, larger chunks are ok, and slice the cucumber. There’s no need to peel the cucumber. Then add the cut produce to the blender.

Next, blend on high until no large chunks of produce remain. Depending on the quality of your blender, this may take a couple rounds of blending. Expect a little “foam” to form on the top.

Recipe Tips & Suggestions

Buy organic produce if you can. I always buy organic when I am able to not only because I find organic produce tastes better, but also because of reduced pesticides used in organic farming. Using organic produce will offer the best tasting juice flavor and offer the most benefits.

Use a high quality blender if you can. I use my Vitamix Blender all of the time. It’s pricey but it has lasted over 5 years and I use it daily! This will ensure the produce gets fully blended.

Enjoy this juice within 2 days for the best results. Homemade fresh juice is best enjoyed immediately to reap all of the benefits. If you’re making it for yourself, you will definitely have leftover juice, so you can either modify the recipe or you can store leftover juice in an airtight glass jar and consume within 2-3 days.

If you don’t like the taste of this juice you can add more apple or you can try adding a couple of dates. I know that celery juice is an acquired taste. Maple syrup could also work. As I mentioned above this juice isn’t meant to be a sweet juice and is enjoyed more as a tart and tangy juice.
