Description
Learn to make these Quick & Easy Garlic Caramelized Onions at home! These caramelized onions are rich and sweet, golden brown with a touch of garlic! Add them to pizza, pastas, plant-based burgers, soups, dips, and more!
Ingredients
- 2 large sweet yellow onions
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon salt (I used pink Himalayan salt)
- 1 small-medium head of garlic
Instructions
Add everything to a skillet and sauté for about 30 minutes over medium-low heat, tossing occasionally. By adding a little water to the bottom of the pan, the onions will caramelize quicker. You especially want to add a little water if the bottom starts to burn, and turn the heat down to low.
Enjoy them on plant-based burgers, pizza, pasta, in wraps, on hummus, in salads, fajitas and more!
