Ingredients

Sunflower seeds or sunflower seed flour. I took whole, raw sunflower seeds and ground them up in my food processor until I had a very fine texture, similar to almond flour. The more you can grind the sunflower seeds up, the better, but not so fine that it turns into sunflower seed butter lol 😉 .

Sunflower seed butter. I love love love sunflower seed butter. I use it a lot in my recipes in place of peanut butter, to make my recipes more allergy-friendly. most stores carry it now, but you can also find it on Amazon. You could also use chocolate sunflower seed butter or even chocolate tahini (which I have made these with!) and they are delicious that way too! You may need to add a bit more sunflower seed flour if you do, though.

Unsweetened cacao powder. Cacao powder is the most unprocessed, unrefined version of cocoa powder, if you can’t find it in stores, I buy my unsweetened cacao powder here. You may also use cocoa power, just make sure it’s unsweetened to keep these cuties naturally sweetened.

Pure maple syrup. I like to use maple syrup in my desserts as a sweetener to keep sweet treats naturally sweetened. I also love the taste of maple in my desserts. Make sure you use pure maple syrup and not maple-flavored syrup.

Pure vanilla extract. Make sure you use pure vanilla extract and not imitation vanilla, as imitation is not gluten-free.

Chocolate chips. For this recipe I used Enjoy Life Mini Chocolate Chips, which are the perfect size for these bite-sized brownie bites.

Salt. To help bring out the sweetness.
